eTHOR - Healthcare

ePLATO is a new horizontal application software product, which can be used very successfully in the Health Care environment.

ePLATO Healthware therefore, is an advanced eHealth software that is designed to enable users i.e Doctors, Dentists, Podiatrists, Nurses, to improve Health Care awareness, particularly to the young and those with limited primary Health Care knowledge.

A sister ePLATO product called eTHOR Communicator can also be used as a transport application for Telemedicine and eHealth applications.

The word ‘Tele’ is a Greek word which in English means ‘over distance’.

ePLATO Healthware is therefore a software application that can be used by Healthcare professionals to promote, maintain, or restore health.

eTHOR Communicator can also be used as a Communications software platform for Medical Practitioners to monitor and practice eHealth and Telemedicine.

There are therefore two product applications in this category.

The first product application is a version of the ePLATO Eduware product, called ePLATO Healthware, which is used to increase Health Care Knowledge and Awareness.

This product is a pervasive, affordable, easy to use, self-directed, self-paced knowledge product, through which any Healthcare content, on any medical subject be it a Procedure, Healthcare Training or simply increasing Healthcare awareness in a Public Health campaign on a topic in the Healthcare field, can be imparted to others.

The second application of eTHOR is the ‘Communicator’ Product.

eTHOR Communicator, is truly a very important development and has many applications particularly in cases where there are rural remote communities or like the recent Tsunami Disaster or in the event of a recurrence of Sars or an Avian Flu Pandemic outbreak, which reduces mobility of peoples.

The eTHOR Communicator product, consists of an easy to use communication platform, which operates over a Fixed Wireless Broadband or Cable Broadband system and enables Medical Practitioners in remote locations to communicate with and be connected to Specialists in Medical Centres like Hospitals etc., in country or overseas.
