Special Mention Award Awarded to ePlato at APiCTA 2005
Teleconsult Sdn. Bhd., Brunei Darussalam, an ICT Consulting firm specializing in ICT Consulting, Learning and Development (F2F learning and eLearning), technical Assistance and Project Management, which is part of the Teleconsult group headquartered in Singapore, has just been awarded the coveted and prestigious APICTA (Asia Pacific InfoCommunications Technology) ‘Special Mention’ Award, for eGovernment and Services.
The award was won in the face of stiff competition for their ‘ePLATO’ - eLearning, eHealth, eGovernment software platform, from member economies and was held in SAR
Hong Kong from 8-10, December 2004. The award which was very competitive and hotly contested, is awarded after an intense 20 minute presentation and 10 minute Q&A before a panel of international judges.
‘ePLATO’, the winner of the BICTA award for eGovernment and Services, was recognized as being a highly unique and innovative product, which did not fit into the vertical categories of the award classifications, but was recognised as having a huge potential and inherent ability to help bridge the ‘digital divide’ in the peri-urban and rural
parts of countries and as such the panel of judges deemed fit to award Teleconsult Sdn. Bhd, representing Brunei Darussalam, this ‘Special Mention’ Award, for eGovernment and Services, APICTA 2004.
The award was the last award to be presented at the Gala Dinner held at the InterContinenetal Hotel in Kowloon on the final night of the APICTA week.
