ePlato Won the Prestigious BiCTA Award

Teleconsult Sdn. Bhd., Brunei Darussalam, which is part of the Teleconsult group headquartered in Singapore, has just been awarded the coveted and prestigious BICTA (Brunei InfoCommunications Technology) Award, for eGovernment Services.

The award was won in the face of stiff competition from 40 entries and qualifies Teleconsult to represent Brunei Darussalam at the APICTA (Asia Pacific InfoCommunications Technology) awards to be held in SAR Hong Kong from 8-10, December 2004.

His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince, Deputy Sultan, Friday night consented to present awards and prizes to the winners of the Brunei ICT Awards, BICTA 2004.

The award ceremony was held at a Gala Dinner at the Jerudong Park Polo Club (JPCC). On arrival at the function, His Royal Highness who is also the Royal Patron of BICTA was greeted by the Communication Minister, Pehin Dato Awang Haji Zakaria. With His Royal Highness was His Royal Highness Prince Abdul Malek.

The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communication, Pehin Dato Awang Haji Abdullah in his welcoming speech said that it was hoped BICTA could be a platform that would bring about innovation and creativity among individuals and local ICT companies, Educational Institutions as well as members of the public to introduce their
